My crime manuscript Squeezed continues to blossom. And bloom. And now I am pruning. Yes yes. I know. It’s premature – the blinking thing isn’t finished yet, but the edit is really tightening the prose and focusing the plot and developing the characters.
So it’s onwards and upwards. I shall continue digging out my novel and finding those pesky hiding letterboxes.
I'm a children's and YA author from Australia. I've published books with very sensible titles such as 'Susie Smelly-feet', 'Birdbrain' and 'Red Goes Green'. I've also written scripts for Australian television dramas such as 'Neighbours' and 'Home and Away'.
I've always hankered to publish a crime novel for grown-ups and at present I'm embarking on a crime writing career.

I’ve heard of many ways to procrastinate, but never by abandoning your desk to do a spot of pruning. That is shear audacity!
